Nail Head Trim
Every detail counts at Jessica Charles. That's why we select from a wide variety of nail head sizes, finishes and textures to create just the right accent for each chair--from the discreet burnished glow of Pewter Nail to the decorative whimsy of Golf Nail. Decorative heads are driven by hand along the welt lines of many traditional styles. Note: Nails shown below are not actual size.
Wood Finishes
Our distinctive, beautifully grained woods are all Grade A. An inspiration to the artisan, they respond to a range of expertly applied stains and finishes. Our woodworkers and carvers are among the most respected in the industry; many of them learned their craft from their fathers and grandfathers. Planing, routing and detailed carving are done by hand following a general pattern-as with all hand work, the beauty is in slight variations and nuances. Before a piece is stained or a special finish applied, the wood is hand-sanded more than seven times, which makes it almost silky to the touch. Note: The wood colors and textures shown are representations of the actual finishes. If an exact match is required, a sample must be sent to our factory.
Fabric
We are able to build the same quality furniture in fabric as we do in leather. We have a wide selection of over 500 beautiful fabrics ranging from 100% silk to cotton/acrylic/polyester blends. Fabrics are hand selected, much like leather, to insure only the best materials are used.
Each fabric has its own distinctive design and texture, with patterns of plaids, tapestries and prints. Fabrics add a dimension of their own from a playful design to a velvety texture. Fabric has become a popular choice for many of our furniture styles. The right fabric or combination of fabrics can tie a room together perfectly with a decorative element or match one's personality with its unique style. Performance Fabrics - We offer an array of top performance fabric options. In addition to superior stain resistance, these fabrics also offer UV & Fade Resistance, Anti-Mildew, and easy cleanability.

Our North Carolina craftsmen hand-make every piece, utilizing time-tested, artisan construction techniques, from eight-way hand tied coils to hand-cut-and-sewn patterns. Our cushions are custom fitted and our skirts are precisely cut, lined and mitered for a perfect drape every time.
